Wi-fi

Wi-Fi is available for some Finnair Plus members and Business Class passengers with specific tickets on long-haul and short-haul flights. However, most passengers on board Finnair can purchase a variety of internet packages to remain connected to the internet.

Carry-on Baggage
Finnair offers the following carry-on baggage facilities to its passengers.

Passengers are allowed to carry a small bag that can fit under the seat (handbag, small laptop bag) with dimensions not exceeding 40 x 30 x 15 cm.

Passengers are also allowed to carry a trolley bag with dimensions not exceeding 55 x 40 x 23 cm.

However, the weight of the baggage for the economy and premium economy class passengers is limited to 8 kg, and for the business class passengers it is 12 kg.

Checked Baggage
Business Class: 3 pieces of checked baggage, each up to 32 kg, on long-haul flights.

Premium Economy/Economy Class: 1–2 pieces of checked baggage, each up to 23 kg, depending on the ticket type.

Total External Dimension: (length + width + height) up to 158 cm (62 inches) per checked bag.

The baggage allowances may vary depending on the route and fare type. It will therefore be in your best interest to check the conditions at the time of booking. You can, however, pre-purchase additional baggage at cheaper rates through Flyscape.

Online Check-in

Finnair's online check-in makes the entire process smooth and hassle-free, as you do not have to jostle with the crowd at the airport. You can actually get your boarding pass on your phone or the Finnair app, avail additional perks like meals or baggage at a lower price, as well as benefit from pre-check features for your travel document. However, you must be aware that check-in for most flights on Finnair starts 36 hours before departure. However, for flights to and from the US, the cut-off time is 24 hours before departure.
